Easy Win for Tobi Amusan at Ostrava Golden Spike

World record holder Tobi Amusan is back in top form with a dominant win at the Ostrava Golden Spike.

After narrowly losing at the Paris Diamond League, Amusan bounced back strongly. She stormed through the women’s 100m hurdles with a time of 12.45s (1.4 m/s wind). It was an effortless performance.

She finished far ahead of Slovakia’s Viktoria Forster, who clocked a season-best of 12.74s. Ireland’s Sarah Lavin came third, also with a season-best time of 12.76s.

This win followed her impressive race in Paris, where she ran 12.24s. Although she finished second behind Grace Stark, who ran a personal best of 12.21s, it was Amusan’s second-fastest legal time ever.

That performance confirmed she is back to peak form. It’s her best shape since she won the world title in Oregon in 2022.

If she continues this form, Amusan will be one of the top contenders for gold at the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo. She is well on track to reclaim her status as the top female 100m hurdler in the world.
