The Iyah community in Gbede Land, situated in Ijumu Local Government Area, recently held the 2025 edition of the EPA Masquerade Festival—a deeply rooted cultural celebration that brings together indigenes from both within and outside Nigeria.
The festival stands as a powerful symbol of unity for the sons and daughters of Iyah, while also serving as a spiritual ceremony that reaffirms the community’s bond with their ancestral deities.
Characterized by colorful masquerade performances, traditional music, and lively gatherings, the event fosters a strong sense of cultural pride and communal joy.
