Ronaldo abandoned dinner Davido: Nigerian afrobeats superstar Davido has shared a hilarious story about how football legend Cristiano Ronaldo abruptly canceled their dinner plans after a disappointing match.
According to Davido, Ronaldo had personally invited him to watch a match at Old Trafford a few years ago. Moreover, the Portuguese star had booked a full evening of celebrations, including a dinner and party for Davido and his crew.
However, things did not go as planned. After Ronaldo’s team suffered a painful defeat, he reportedly became upset and decided to cancel all arrangements. Instead, he headed straight home, leaving Davido and his friends without their much-anticipated evening with the football icon.
Davido jokingly added that he still holds a grudge against Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, whom he blames for the team’s loss that night.
Sharing the experience on his X page (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday night, Davido wrote:
“Football ehn fit give person BP… I remember when CR7 personally invite me come watch match for Old Trafford then a couple of years ago … He don book dinner all! Party chillin etc …. Nah so dem go lose match, bab vex go house. Since that day I still never forgive Maguire.”
This light-hearted story once again highlights the close friendship between Davido and Ronaldo, despite the missed dinner.
