Peter Obi has confirmed he will run for president in 2027, pledging a single four-year term focused on security, education, and fighting poverty.
Speaking on X Space, he dismissed rumours of a joint ticket with Atiku Abubakar, insisting any coalition must aim to solve Nigeria’s crises.
He criticized President Tinubu for frequent foreign trips, saying Tinubu hasn’t stayed outside Lagos since 2023, yet plans over a week in St Lucia.
Obi also vowed to cut government costs, end defections, and ensure votes count in 2027.
“Nigeria is at war. We must act,” he said, promising stability within two years if elected.
