Transfer: Arsenal Agree Personal Terms with Valencia Defender Mosquera
Arsenal have reached a personal agreement with Valencia centre-back Christian Mosquera, as they look to strengthen their defense this summer.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners had earlier submitted a €14 million bid, which Valencia rejected. Despite the setback, negotiations are ongoing. The Spanish club is reportedly willing to sell the 19-year-old defender for a fee above €20 million.
“Arsenal have reached full agreement on personal terms with Christian Mosquera,” Romano wrote on X.
“A new proposal will be submitted after the opening bid worth €14m was rejected. Talks continue.”
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is keen to bring in Mosquera as a backup to William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães, forming a stronger backline for next season.
The Gunners are pushing hard in the transfer market as they prepare for a challenging campaign that includes the UEFA Champions League and another shot at the Premier League title.
