Mbappe Sues PSG Over Alleged Extortion Attempt
Real Madrid forward, Kylian Mbappe, has taken legal action against his former club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). He accuses them of trying to extort him and using pressure tactics during their 2023 contract dispute.
According to Le Parisien, Mbappe filed the lawsuit on May 16. He claims PSG tried to force him to sign a new deal by banning him from first-team training that summer.
Mbappe also says the club’s actions amounted to moral harassment. In response to his complaint, French authorities have now launched an official investigation. Two magistrates are currently in charge of the case.
The investigation formally began on Tuesday, and legal proceedings are underway.
Mbappe later left PSG for free and joined Real Madrid. Since his move, he has performed well for the Spanish giants.
