Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, has commended the smooth conduct of the ongoing NABTEB exams. He gave the commendation during an inspection visit to Government Technical College, Oboroke.
Addressing the students, he encouraged them to remain focused and determined. He also reminded them of the state government’s strong support for free education. This includes full payment of exam fees for WAEC, NABTEB, JAMB, BECE, and other assessments.
Jones, along with officials from the education ministry, also visited Abdulazeez Atta Memorial College and Ebira Community Secondary School. The team inspected the schools’ facilities and learning environments.
He explained that the inspection tour was part of efforts to monitor the progress of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s education reforms. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for learning in all parts of the state.
