Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has completed the key stages of his medical ahead of a transfer to Chelsea.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development on Sunday via his official X account. He revealed that Chelsea finalized a £55 million deal to sign the English winger from Borussia Dortmund.
“Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has completed the main part of medical as new Chelsea player. £55m deal done,” Romano posted.
The 20-year-old had drawn interest from several top clubs. However, he chose to join Chelsea, who were quick to secure his signature this summer.
Chelsea are actively bolstering their squad under new manager Enzo Maresca, especially after qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League. The Blues finished fourth in the Premier League last season, behind Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool.
At the moment, Chelsea are also competing in the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
