In a powerful show of solidarity, all 21 Local Government Chairmen and 239 Ward Councillors across Kogi State have unanimously endorsed Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for a second term in office.
The endorsement was made during an ongoing three-day induction workshop in Lokoja for elected local government officials and key administrative and finance officers. The motion, initiated by Hon. William Ameh of Olamaboro LGA and seconded by Obaromi Comfort Olufunke of Kabba Bunu, was swiftly and unanimously adopted by all present.
The LG leaders praised Governor Ododo’s inclusive leadership and firm commitment to grassroots development, citing his administration’s notable strides in agriculture, education, healthcare, solid minerals, and empowerment of women and youth.
They affirmed that his tenure has brought tangible democratic dividends to communities across the state, and insisted that continuity under Ododo’s leadership is vital to maintaining the state’s current trajectory of unity, development, and good governance.
Reaffirming their loyalty, the Chairmen and Councillors pledged full support for Governor Ododo’s administration and the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi ahead of the 2027 elections.
