Flying Eagles vs Kenya
Flying Eagles striker Ricky Mendos is full of confidence ahead of Nigeria’s final Group B match against Kenya at the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The match takes place today at the June 30 Air Defence Stadium in Cairo, Egypt.
Nigeria needs at least a draw to qualify for the quarter-finals, but Mendos believes the team can go all the way and claim victory.
“We have prepared well. The coaches have worked hard with us. We know how important this game is to achieving our goal in the tournament,” Mendos said.
“We will give it our all and fight for the maximum points. Winning is important to us we want to finish top of the group.”
The Flying Eagles have shown strong form so far in the tournament. A win today would see them advance to the knockout stage as group leaders.
