The Internet Society Nigeria Chapter, led by Engr. Kunle Olorundare, hosted the 2025 Girls in ICT Day at Community High School, Ayetoro Gbede, in Ijumu LGA, Kogi State. This year’s theme, “Girls in ICT for Inclusive Digital Transformation,” aimed to inspire young girls to pursue careers in technology.
Organized by Olumobi John Adewale and facilitated by Adeyeye Bamidele, the event welcomed over 120 female students from SS1 to SS3. With strong support from the school management, the students explored different ICT tools and discovered real-world opportunities in tech.
Importantly, the organizers thanked the Ayetoro Global Network for establishing a modern ICT center. This facility has significantly improved how students learn and engage with technology.
Throughout the day, the students showed enthusiasm and discipline. They actively participated in every session, asked questions, and shared ideas. As a result, the event became a major step forward in promoting digital inclusion and innovation in Kogi State.
