Osama Nabih, head coach of Egypt’s U-20 team, says his players will give everything to beat Nigeria’s Flying Eagles and secure third place at the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
On Thursday, Egypt lost 1-0 to Morocco in a tense semi-final at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo. The defeat ended their hopes of reaching the final.
Despite the setback, the Young Pharaohs will now play against Nigeria on Sunday in the third-place match.
“We’ll do everything to give the fans something to celebrate,” Nabih told CAFonline.
“We didn’t reach the final, but the boys showed resilience. I believe they can finish strong.”
