Champions League qualification EPL: At least two Premier League clubs have now confirmed their qualification for the UEFA Champions League next season. The teams are Liverpool and Arsenal.
Liverpool had already sealed their spot earlier in the week after clinching the title. Jürgen Klopp’s side will now return to Europe’s elite competition after a season in the Europa League.
On the other hand, Arsenal needed just one point from their final two league fixtures. However, they went one better on Sunday with a hard-fought 1-0 win over fellow contenders Newcastle United.
Declan Rice Sends Arsenal to Europe
The Gunners struggled in the first half as Newcastle dominated possession and forced a string of fine saves from David Raya. But the momentum shifted after the break.
In the 54th minute, Martin Ødegaard delivered a clever pass into the box, and Declan Rice finished calmly to give Arsenal the lead. The home fans erupted at the Emirates Stadium as their side held on to claim all three points.
This win takes Arsenal to 71 points, securing a top-four finish and a place in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.
