Popular social media critic Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has returned online with a strong warning for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). In a new video, VDM warned the EFCC not to post any image of him holding a placard that links him to money laundering. He declared his innocence and said any such action would lead to legal consequences.
VDM also said the EFCC still has his old phone, which holds sensitive information. Because of this, he cannot access his iCloud or WhatsApp accounts.
The outspoken activist hinted at a bigger story behind his arrest. He claimed that Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) played a role and promised to share the full details soon. According to him, he has solid proof and expects answers from the bank.
VDM wrote:
“As far as EFCC is concerned, if we are to build a better Nigeria, it must start with integrity. We cannot begin with lies. And as for GTBank, I’ll be needing some explanations.”
This development has sparked wide reactions online. Many of his followers showed support, while others advised him to be cautious.
