NNPP chieftain Buba Galadima has alleged that former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, is fronting for Atiku Abubakar in the Social Democratic Party (SDP) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He argued that El-Rufai lacks the moral integrity to lead the opposition. Over time, he said, El-Rufai has betrayed several allies—Atiku, Obasanjo, Buhari, and Tinubu.
Galadima emphasized that El-Rufai’s involvement in the SDP serves his personal interests rather than public good. “He’s not building the party for the people,” Galadima claimed.
According to him, El-Rufai’s political style could harm the SDP. He predicted that the former governor would lose political relevance within three years if he continues on this path.
Meanwhile, Galadima urged opposition parties to unite and focus on strategic planning. He cautioned against early attacks on the current administration, warning they could weaken the broader opposition.
